Our Curriculum

Enid Capron Primary School uses the standard curriculum of all the government schools in the country. The Curriculum centers around the Primary subject areas of Language arts and Mathematics, along with the traditional subjects of Social Studies covering a wide awareness of the country of the Turks and Caicos as well as the wider Caribbean and the World. Religious Education, which fosters an understanding and acceptance of religious tolerance by building an appreciation of other beliefs. The Sciences separated into a Health Science and a General Science component from the Ks to Grade 5 after which the areas are combined for the students doing the Gsat Examinations.
There is also an addressing of the need for a holistic approach to education by the delivering of specialist subjects such as Physical Education, Spanish, Music and Computer Instruction. In addition a remedial aspect is fitted in to the normal curricula in the formation of a Remedial Reading department catering to students even to the upper Grades. Mathematics remediation is also a unique feature of the Enid Capron Primary School’s Curricula.
Finally the discussion could not have ended without mentioning that there have also been added a functional library component timetabled into the school’s academic activities as part of a drive by the principal to create an appreciation for books in the students.
With such innovations the school is certainly poised for great things to come as these added academic programs cement themselves in the psyche of Enid Capron Primary.
